Classy Parties Do Not Play Loud Music!
Please gather here if you agree with my hypothesis!
We are tired of attending parties where the sound of the music drowns out our conversation.
I wonder who propounded that theory that sounds at Nigerian parties have to burst eardrums.
I have been to Weddings, Birthdays, Celebrations of life, where much as I liked the celebrants,I just had to leave for my hearing’s sake.
Our party sounds are always unhealthily loud.
What do we stand to gain when the music is so loud that guests have to shout on top of their voices or whisper in one another’s ears to be able to converse?
I have been a victim of this malaise many times over, and I have left parties where I felt staying long under exposure to the loud noise was making me very uncomfortable.
I can only imagine how people who wear hearing aids feel at those parties;that must be some kind of torture for them.
Sound above 85 decibels poses health dangers to your guests.
Your party is not more ‘partyish’ just because the PAS is banging sound off the roof.
Exposure to loud noise, sound, and music can lead to permanent hearing loss. Fact! I know an Event Planner who experienced this.
Some NIHL( Noise Induced Hearing Loss) challenges are irreversible.
Some people may leave your party experiencing physical pain and discomfort in their ears.
Some will leave your party and get home speaking at the top of their voices or with their voices hoarse because they have spent hours shouting just to speak with their table mates/friends at your party. Some will leave with tinnitus(ringing in the ears).
At this rate, some of us may start going to parties with our ear plugs or ear muffs. Maybe vendors should start selling these items at event centres in case we forget to come along with them to parties.
Why should we leave what is meant to be a joyous occasion stressed and anxious just because our ears have been assailed with noise?
Please, Sound Engineers,MCs , Musicians, Event Planners, etc, please have mercy on our ears.
We have suffered enough!
Your party does not have to be noisy and loud to be lit. A well-balanced sound system can enhance an enjoyable atmosphere and a great party experience.
Please gather here if you agree with my hypothesis. You said what?
