The Media are Complicit in the Iranian Massacre
By: Deji Yesufu
It is true that the protests that erupted all around Iran in the final days of 2025 have been largely shut down. It should be noted that, consistent with the criminal regime that the Ayatollah leads, the protests were violently suppressed, with no less than 16,500 people killed and 330,000 people injured. Most of these people are young men and women. One report has it that many of these young injured people were stuffed into body bags alive, preparing for mass burial. Some of them moaning within those bags, calling for medical help. The greatest tragedy with these Iranian massacres is the silence that greeted them all. CNN rarely covered the protest, but was more than happy to report that it had been put down. Even Arise News, Nigeria, does not think it is important enough to report on it. The media has practically been complicit in these killings because their silence has empowered the Islamic terrorists who rule Iran to kill its people.
The contrast to Iran is October 7th, 2023. Gaza, a community in the southwestern borders of Israel, elects Hamas as its governing body. There has been protracted violence between Israel and its Muslim neighbours, and the world prevailed on Israel to give Gaza to the Palestinians. They were barely settled before thousands of terrorists scaled the borders, invaded Israel and carried out a massacre unknown to man in the 21st century. Hundreds of Israelis were held hostage. Israel launches military action on Gaza and reduces the place to rubble, as they search for their hostages. The world media reported the matter daily. Benjamin Netanyahu, the brave Israeli leader, was called a bloodthirsty man and is even wanted at the International Court for genocide. Etc. Why did the world scream blue murder on Gaza, despite the fact that the Gazans were fully in support of Hamas terrorist activities, but the world remains silent in the face of the massacre of Iranian youths, despite the fact that Iranians do not support their despotic leadership? The answer is ideology.
Christians and Jews were historically not friends. In the Middle Ages, even up till the 19th century, the Jews were regarded as the killers of Jesus. Many Jews suffered anti-Semitic attacks in Europe, and this engendered the call for a Jewish nation. The Holocaust changed everything. After Hitler slaughtered six million Jews, the world considered it its moral duty to help the Jews. They gave them a land in Palestine that encompassed their ancestral home. Unfortunately, that decision led the Jews from the frying pan to the fire because of the anti-Semitism of their Muslim neighbours. Israel has learnt to survive under all kinds of aggression. In recent times, through brute force, economic ties, and their relationship with the United States, Israel had forced peace with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and many of their neighbours. That one neighbour that has refused peaceful relations with Israel is Shia-Iran. The tension between the two countries reached a breaking point with the Twelve-Day War in 2025. This is why a Christian West has had to support the Jews. So, what is the ideology informing the silence of the world media on the Iranian massacre of its people?
It is the unwritten friendship between Islam and leftist-progressive ideologies. With the Jews and conservative Christianity on one side, the political left in the West regards Jews and Christians as enemies. Donald Trump came to office on the wings of the political right in the USA. Jews and Christians were his primary backers. On the other hand, the left regard Christianity and any conservative ideology as anathema. Ideally, they should regard Islam as an enemy, but because Muslims are historically enemies of Christians, they would take the “enemy of their enemy” as a friend. This is the reason why these leftists support Muslims; this is why they will report on Gaza and remain silent on Iran, etc. Is there a way forward? Yes.
At the moment, the United States of America is building a military coalition against Iran. She has stationed her USS Abraham Lincoln off the coast of Iran. Israel, Britain, and a few UAE countries are join this military coalition to end the government of the Ayatollah. Trump had told Iran that it must not kill peaceful protesters. Unfortunately, they have killed at least 16,500 people, and the numbers are still increasing, with secret killings ongoing. Iran has crossed the red line.
Let me conclude by telling you what the face of global news will look like in the days to come. Iran, to their credit, would not be a walkover. It is the reason Trump is taking his time to build an armada against them. The coalition may suffer some losses. It is those losses that these dumb leftist media houses will report. Ultimately, however, the mullahs would be chased out of Iran. Ali Khamenei may be killed, and the world would know peace. 60% of world terrorism sponsors will be decimated, and Nigeria can begin to look forward to ending banditry and Boko Haram on its shores. It would be a win-win for the world. Unfortunately, the only people who will not be reporting it are these dumb leftist media houses.
